How to Build a Hackintosh with Snow Leopard, Start to Finish

lifehacker - hackintosh

Lifehacker’s Adam Pash essentially wrote the definitive step-by-step guide on how to roll your own Hackintosh (including the one above) – that is, a PC running Mac OS X – and while he certainly wasn’t the first to make that combination work, he was one of the first people to document the process so well that anyone can do it.

Adam went back to the bench this week to revisit his hackintosh now that Snow Leopard is out, and has updated his step-by-step guide with instructions for hackintosh lovers who also want to run Apple’s newly released OS on their machines. Just as before, the guide is complete, well documented, and full of delicious screenshots that will help you through the process.

If you’ve been thinking of buying a Mac and want to play with the OS first, or if you simply want Mac OS X but can’t afford the hardware, this is the way to do it.
