CNet finishes off the short work week with a fun little profile of seven Microsoft products that have been both wild successes or dismal flops. From the XBox 360 (definitely a hit) to the MSN WebTV (definitely a miss) to Microsoft’s wireless router (shown above-can you believe it? I actually own a Microsoft Wireless Card. Works like a charm using open source wifi drivers in OS X in an old Apple Powerbook G3!) Microsoft has a history of both excellent and useful products that have captured the public’s attention and garnered siginificant gains for the company, and also for horrible products that no one would ever think twice about ditching, or never buying in the first place. In the case of the WebTV, the kind of product that eventually got relegated to late night infomercials-that’s when you know your product is in the toilet.
